When purchasing gas, we recommend that you go inside and ask the station attendant to authorize a specific amount rather than pay using the card reader at the pump. If you do this, you will only be charged for the specific amount that you ask the station attendant to authorize. If you pay using the card reader at the pump, the gas station may place an authorization hold of $100 or more on your account.

A temporary authorization hold allows the merchant to confirm that you have sufficient funds in your account to cover the transaction before charging you. Most temporary authorization holds are released in 1-3 business days once the final transaction amount settles, at which time the balance on your Instawork Debit Card will be updated.

Instawork is not able to remove the authorization hold until the final transaction settles.

Cuando compre gasolina, le recomendamos que entre en la gasolinera y pida al empleado que le autorice un importe concreto en lugar de pagar utilizando el lector de tarjetas del surtidor.
