There are two ways to apply to permanent job opportunities on Instawork:
Submit an application: For most positions, you can apply to the job with your background or resume. If there's a fit, the employer will contact you for next steps, most likely an interview. This is similar to other job boards.
Apply for an interview: For some positions, you can apply directly for an interview. These are scheduled time slots where you meet with a company for an open permanent job opportunity. Unlike regular shifts, you are not working during these slots—you are interviewing for a permanent job.
How to find a permanent jobs on Instawork
There are two ways to find permanent jobs on Instawork:
On the Jobs tab: The Jobs tab in your app will list all application and interview opportunities. You can filter by roles, when the job was posted, type of employment (full-time, part-time or contract), as well as distance. You can also search for specific roles or businesses.
On the Shifts tab: The Shifts tab in your app will show only interview opportunities. To find them, filter for shift type = “Interviews.” This will show only permanent jobs with interview opportunities available on Instawork.
How to apply for job interviews
Find an interview opportunity in your app
Go to the Shifts tab in your app and filter for shift type = “Interviews.”
Complete any prerequisites and apply
Some interviews may require you to complete certain prerequisites before you can apply, including:
Necessary profile information
Any application requirements
Required documents
You’ll receive details in the app for any prerequisites needed.
Wait for a notification if you’re a fit
If you’re a fit for the role, you'll receive a notification with a confirmed interview time slot.
Confirm your interview
When you receive a notification that you’re a good fit for the role, you need to confirm the interview time. You must accept the time to confirm your interview spot. If you don't confirm, you'll be removed from the interview.
Attend your interview
Interviews may be over the phone, virtual or in-person. Be ready or arrive 10-15 minutes early for your interview. Dress professionally and have any documents mentioned in the interview details ready, such as your ID or resume.
Important: Interviews are unpaid, and you will receive a penalty if you do not show up for a scheduled interview.

Can I still work temporary shifts if I get a permanent job?
Yes! Your Instawork account stays active when you accept a permanent job. You can continue picking up shifts as long as they don't conflict with your permanent job schedule.
Is there a cost to apply for permanent jobs?
No, applying for permanent jobs through Instawork is completely free for Pros.
How will I know if I'm selected for an interview?
You'll receive a notification if you're a good fit for the position with a confirmation for your interview time. You must accept the interview to confirm your spot.
What if there is no interview time that fits my availability?
Based on the number of applicants, new interview times are added every few days, so you should check back at a later time.
What if I'm not selected for a job?
Keep applying! New permanent positions are posted regularly, and there’s no penalty to apply for multiple jobs. To improve your chances of getting selected,make sure your skills are updated in the app—look for the “Add skills” button on your Profile page.
