Accessing your 1099 tax forms

This article explains how to access and download your 1099-NEC tax form from Tax1099.

If you’ve worked 1099 shifts AND you’ve made $600 or more through Instawork during the year 2025, you’ll receive your 1099 tax form electronically through tax1099.com.

By February 2, 2026, you'll receive an email from tax1099.com (Subject: Tax Document from Garuda Labs, Inc.) with a PDF version of your tax form attached to this email. For your privacy & security, the form requires a password in order for you to view the document, the instructions are in the below section 'How to view 1099 tax form'

  • If you didn't receive your tax form, check the following:

    • The email address in your app is valid (no typos, etc). To check, visit Profile > Settings > Account information > Email address

    • Check your spam folder. The email will come from tax1099.com and NOT Instawork

How to view 1099 tax form

Steps to access your 1099 tax form:

  1. You will receive an email from statements@tax1099.com | Subject Line: Tax1099 eDelivery Consent.

  2. Click "Consent Now" in the email.

  3. Create a login when prompted.

  4. Enter your password using this format:

    • First 4 letters of your name (as shown on your form)

    • Last 4 digits of your Social Security Number

    • Example: If your name is Mary May and your SSN is 788223456, your password would be mary3456

  5. OTP will be sent to your email (expires in 5 mins) to create the account. Email will come from noreply@tax1099.com | Subject Line: XXXXXX is OTP for Zenwork xForce.

  6. Once OTP is entered, you will be directed to their dashboard.

  7. Navigate to eDelivery Requests (second from top right).

  8. Click ‘View’ under Garuda Labs Inc ‘Tax Documents’ and download 2025 1099-NEC.

  9. You will need to click on the “download” button to download the form.

  10. You can also click on the view button to view the tax forms.

If you encounter any problem in opening your electronic 1099 form, please check whether:

  1. You have entered the first 4 characters of your name (in lowercase letters).

  2. You have entered the last 4 digits of your SSN/ITIN/EIN number.
