Payment settings for Pros (US)

Updated yesterday

The following article is for our Pros that reside in the US.

You can choose where you get paid (account type) and when you get paid (frequency) in Payment settings for your 1099 earnings.

Choose where your money is sent (account type):

  • Personal debit cards: Your 1099 earnings will be available an hour after you get paid. Some exceptions may apply.

  • Checking account: Your earnings will be available 3 business days after payment is sent.

Choose when you get paid (frequency):

  • Weekly: We send your earnings every Wednesday for all shifts from the previous one-week pay period (Monday through Sunday).

  • Instapay: We send your earnings after clock out. You can only select Instapay as your payment frequency seven days after you work your second shift through the Instawork platform. For example, if you complete your second shift on Sunday, February 2, you will become Instapay eligible on Monday, February 10.

An expedited transaction fee (5% everywhere | $5 in CA) per payout applies for each Instapay payment.

For example, if your payout totals $100 outside of CA, a $5 fee will apply. If your payout totals $120 in CA, a $5 will apply because the payout fee is always $5 in CA).

You can always get paid for free by choosing Weekly pay in your Payment settings.
