How to review draft timesheets

If your account is set up with invoicing terms, you will receive an email each Monday with a draft timesheet for the shifts from the previous week. It’s important to review the details carefully to ensure accuracy before the final invoice is processed.

Key timeline & process

  • Monday at 9 AM PST: You will receive an email with a draft timesheet for all shifts completed in the prior week. Complete any shift adjustments before the end of the day. For further information on timesheet adjustments, please visit help.instawork.com.

  • Monday at 11:59 PM PST: Deadline to review and adjust your timesheets. If no changes are made, the draft timesheet will be finalized as is.

  • Tuesday at 1 PM PST: You will receive an email with your total invoice amount due according to your invoice terms.

Step-by-step instructions

1) Check your email

  • Look for an email from Instawork with your draft timesheet on Monday at 9 AM PST.

2) Open and review the timesheet

  • Click the attachment in the email to access your draft timesheet.

    • Draft timesheets for 1099 shifts come from Instawork. Draft timesheets for W-2 shifts come from Advantage Workforce Services, LLC.

    • Carefully review the documented hours, breaks, rates, and any other shift details.

3) Make Any Necessary Adjustments

  • If you notice any discrepancies, update the timesheets directly in the dashboard before the Monday deadline.

  • Common adjustments may include correcting shift start and end times, break durations, and reporting no-shows.

Important notes

  • Draft timesheets and invoices are produced by business location. If you manage multiple locations, you will receive separate invoices for each location.

  • All invoices have a unique 13-digit numerical ID in the format: XXXXXX-XXXXXXX. To avoid duplicate payments, please remit payment for invoices only and do not submit timesheets and/or account statements for payment.

  • Pros may submit a dispute if they believe their hours were reported incorrectly. Disputes are automatically approved if you don't reject or approve them within 3 days, so please be sure to connect with the on-site contacts to determine whether or not the disputes are valid. Learn more.
