Understanding Coach Calls: Your Path to Position Approval

Coach Calls connect you with experienced Professionals who assess your skills for positions you've applied for on Instawork. These calls are an important step in getting approved to work shifts in specific positions.

When You'll Need a Coach Call

You'll be prompted to schedule a Coach Call when:

- You apply for a position you haven't been approved for yet

- You try to book a shift for a position that requires approval

How to Schedule Your Call

1. When you apply for a position or try to book a shift that requires approval, you'll see a prompt to schedule a Coach Call

2. Select a 60-minute time window that works with your schedule

3. Confirm your selection

After scheduling, you'll receive:

- A confirmation text with details about your upcoming call

- A follow-up text letting you know which phone number to expect the call from

Preparing for Your Coach Call

The Coach will assess your skills and experience to determine if you're qualified for the position. To make the most of your call:

- Review your work experience related to the position

- Be ready to discuss specific skills relevant to the role

- Prepare to answer scenario-based questions about the position

- Find a quiet place with good phone reception for your call

During the Call

- The call will last approximately 15-30 minutes

- Speak clearly and professionally

- Provide specific examples that highlight your skills and experience

- Be honest about your qualifications and experience level

After Your Call

After your Coach Call, you'll receive a notification about whether you've been approved for the position. If approved:

- You can immediately begin booking shifts for that position

- Your profile will show that you're qualified for this type of work

If not approved, you may:

- Still be eligible for other positions you're qualified for

Tips for Success

- Be on time and available during your entire scheduled window

- Answer the call even if it comes from an unknown number during your scheduled time

- Have your work history and experience ready to discuss

- Be specific about your skills and provide examples from past work
