When can you start booking shifts after approval?
After applying to Instawork, you'll want to know when you'll be able to start booking shifts. This article explains the approval process and when you can begin working.
The approval timeline
Once you complete your profile:
- your information is reviewed, usually within 1-3 business days
- You'll receive a notification when your profile is approved
- You can start booking shifts immediately after approval
What "approved" means.
Being approved means:
- Your profile meets our requirements
- You can see and book available shifts
- You're ready to start working
How to know you're approved
You'll know you're approved when:
- You receive an "Approved" notification in the app
- The "Open Shifts" section shows available shifts
- The positions you applied for show as "Active" in your profile
What to do after approval
Once approved:
1. Check the "Open Shifts" section regularly
2. Book shifts that match your skills and schedule
3. Confirm your shifts when prompted (usually 24-32 hours before the shift)
4. Show up on time and ready to work
If you don't see shifts after approval
If you're approved but don't see shifts:
- Check that your location settings are correct
- Apply for additional positions to see more opportunities
- Keep checking back as new shifts are posted throughout the day
- Make sure notifications are turned on
