How to Add Professional Certifications to Your Instawork Profile

Adding certifications to your Instawork profile can help you qualify for more shifts and lead to higher-paying opportunities. This article shows you how to upload your certifications to the app.

Why Add Certifications?

Adding certifications to your profile:

  • Shows businesses you're qualified

What Certifications You Might Need

Common certifications include:

  • Food Handler's Card

  • Alcohol Service Certification (TIPS, ServSafe, etc.)

  • Forklift Certification

  • CPR/First Aid

Step-by-Step: How to Add a Certification

1. Open the Instawork app

2. Tap on the "Profile" tab at the bottom of your screen

3. Scroll down to find "Certifications"

4. Tap "Add certification"

5. Select the type of certification you want to add

6. Take a photo of your certification or upload one from your phone

7. Enter the expiration date shown on your certification

8. Tap "Save"

Tips for a Successful Upload

Make sure your certification photo:

  • Shows your full name clearly

  • Shows the certification number

  • Shows the issue date and expiration date

  • It is well-lit and not blurry

What Happens Next

After you upload your certification:

  • Our team will review it (usually within 1-2 business days)

  • You'll get a notification when it's approved

  • Once approved, you can start booking shifts that require this certification

Updating Expired Certifications

When your certification is about to expire:

1. Get a new certification before the expiration date

2. Follow the same steps above to upload your new certification

3. Make sure the new expiration date is entered correctly
