Having trouble with the Instawork app? This guide covers quick fixes for the most common problems you might face.

App Won't Open or Keeps Crashing

Try these steps in order:

1. Close the app completely and reopen it

2. Restart your phone

3. Check for app updates in the App Store or Google Play Store

4. Delete and reinstall the app (make sure you remember your login info)

Can't Log In

If you're having trouble logging in:

1. Check that you're using the correct email and password

2. Make sure your internet connection is working

3. Try the "Forgot Password" option to reset your password

4. Check if you're using the right phone number if logging in with SMS

Shifts Not Loading

If you can't see available shifts:

1. Pull down on the screen to refresh

2. Check your internet connection

3. Make sure location services are turned on for the app

4. Check if you have any filters applied that might be limiting results

5. Try closing and reopening the app

Location Issues

If the app can't find your location:

1. Make sure location services are turned on in your phone settings

2. Give Instawork permission to "Always" access your location

3. Turn off any VPN services you might be using

4. Try using Wi-Fi instead of cellular data (or vice versa)

Clock-In/Clock-Out Problems

If you can't clock in or out:

1. Make sure you're at the correct location

2. Check that you have a good internet connection

3. Enable location services for the app

4. Try moving closer to the building entrance

5. If all else fails, contact the on-site manager and Instawork support

Payment Information Not Updating

If your earnings aren't showing correctly:

1. Wait 24 hours after your shift ends for processing

2. Check that you properly clocked in and out

3. Make sure your bank information is correct in your profile

4. Verify that your timesheet shows the correct hours

Chat or Help Desk Not Loading

1. Log out and log back in

2. Restart your phone

App Running Slowly

To improve app performance:

1. Close other apps running in the background

2. Clear the app cache (in your phone settings)

3. Make sure you have enough free storage space

4. Update to the latest version of the app

5. Check if your phone's operating system needs updating

Notification Issues

If you're not receiving notifications:

1. Check notification settings in your phone settings

2. Make sure notifications are enabled for Instawork

3. Check notification settings in the app

4. Try turning your phone off and on again
