Instawork thoroughly vets Pros through up to eight different methods, including a background check and phone screen. This ensures top-tier, reliable workers are made available through the Instawork Platform for your business.
Here are the ways workers are vetted on the Instawork platform:
Comprehensive Screening
Instawork Pros undergo a thorough vetting process, including a background check and phone screen with an Instawork Coach, a high performing Pro with a history of excellence specifically on the Instawork platform. Learn more about Coaches.
Depending on the position type and shift details, Pros may need to complete additional screening, including:
Uploading relevant certifications
Verifying work attire
Proving specific skills via video demonstrations
Pros upload a video of themselves demonstrating a skill (e.g. mixing a drink or chopping an onion) that is reviewed and approved by Instawork’s Operations team
Passing skill-specific quizzes
Continuous Network Validation
After each shift is completed, Partners and Pros are both asked to rate the Pros they worked with based on their skill, attitude, and work ethic. Pros who continue to earn good reviews unlock benefits on the Instawork platform, such as early shift access. Similarly, Pros who consistently receive poor reviews may lose the opportunity to pick up future shifts.
W-2 Employee Verification
Instawork’s affiliate, Advantage Workforce Services, LLC (“AWS”), connects businesses with Pros eligible to work W-2 shifts through the Instawork Platform. AWS’s W-2 onboarding process requires candidates to complete a Form I-9 to verify eligibility to work in the US.
