Among the millions of workers who use Instawork to find shift-based work, we have identified some of the most-experienced and highest-rated individuals for each specialized role we support. We then partner with these individuals to impart their industry-specific knowledge on our broader Pro community. Specifically, we connect an industry expert (a “Coach”) with a new or inexperienced Pro who is seeking a more skilled or specialized role, like a bartender, line cook, or warehouse associate.

Instawork Coaches conduct one-on-one screening calls with Pros who are interested in skilled positions. Coaches use their industry-specific knowledge to evaluate an inexperienced Pro's relevant work history to determine if it aligns with the requirements of a high-skill position. For example, if a worker is interested in picking up shifts as a bartender, the Instawork Coach might ask, “How do you make and serve a Manhattan?”Through targeted questions, Coaches assess role-specific knowledge and skills and provide platform-level feedback to help Instawork match the highest quality workers with roles they are best-equipped to fill.
