Can I hire an Instawork Professional for a permanent position?

Hiring an Instawork Professional

Updated yesterday

Yes! There are two ways to use Instawork to hire Pros for permanent roles:

Convert Pros from temporary shifts (direct hire)

If you've worked with a Pro through temporary shifts and want to hire them permanently, you can convert them through our direct hire program. This is best for when you discover great Pros through shifts and want to add them to your team in a permanent capacity.

How it works:

  • Book long-term or short-term shifts to match with temporary workers

  • If you find a Pro you'd like to hire permanently, you can convert them by paying a direct hire fee

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, and in accordance with Section 4.7 in our Online Service Agreement, Instawork will bill a Direct Hire fee for each Pro hired or otherwise directly engaged through temporary shifts as follows:

  • The standard fee is $2,500

  • The reduced fee, after a Pro works 320+ hours with you though Instawork, is $1,000

Note, our Online Service Agreement reflects our standard direct hire fees. However, if you have a separate agreement with us, please refer to that contract or speak to your account manager directly for more details.

Post a permanent job (Instawork Hiring)

You can also post interviews for full-time positions through Instawork Hiring. This is best when you need to fill a specific, full-time position quickly.

How it works:

  • Set your role details, requirements, and availability for interviews.

  • Let Instawork technology screen and match candidates based on experience, reliability, and role-specific skills.

  • Interview vetted candidates who are relevant to your position.

This model helps you connect directly with quality candidates who are ready to interview—saving time, reducing no-shows, and helping you make faster, better hiring decisions.

Important note

When you use Instawork Hiring, candidates can apply regardless of their previous work history with your business. However, it’s important to note that:

  • If an applicant has worked shifts with you through the Instawork platform within three months of applying to your job, direct hire fees WILL apply even if they apply to your job through Hiring.

  • If an applicant has worked shifts with you more than three months from their application date, you can continue with the Instawork Hiring process with no additional fees beyond the job post fee.
