Keeping your information current ensures you receive important notifications, your payments are processed smoothly, and you remain eligible for shifts. Outdated information could result in missed opportunities or payment delays.
This article explains how to change different types of personal information in your account and what to expect during the process.
Accessing your account information
Open the Instawork app
Tap on the Profile tab at the bottom of your screen
Select Account Information
On the “Account Information” screen, you can update your email address, home address, phone number, and emergency contact information. You can also upload your resume.
Updating your email address
Go to Account Information.
Tap on your current email address.
Enter your new email address.
You'll receive verification messages to confirm the change.
Enter the code to complete the update.
Updating your phone number
Go to Account Information.
Tap on your current phone number.
Enter your new phone number.
You'll receive a verification code via text message.
Enter the code to complete the update.
If you're having trouble updating your phone number:
Make sure you're using the latest version of the Instawork app
Check your internet connection
Close and reopen the app
Check that the app has permission to send you text messages
If you still can't update your phone number, contact support for help.
Updating your Name
You can easily update your name directly in the Instawork app by following these steps:
Open the Instawork app.
Navigate to your profile.
Tap on the settings icon (the cog wheel at the top right corner).
Select "Account Information."
Tap "Edit" next to your name, make the necessary changes, and then tap "Save."
Important Note: Ensure that you are using the latest version of the Instawork app for the best experience. Updating to the latest version can resolve potential app-related errors.

Updating your Date of Birth (DOB)
Please contact support for further assistance.
If you need to update your date of birth (DOB), additional verification is required. You may be asked to provide the following:
A valid government-issued ID
Your phone number
Email address
Current address
Last four digits of your Social Security Number (SSN)
Note: If you are still unable to update or change your phone number, home/mailing address, email address, SSN, or name, please contact support. Please be advised that additional verification is required.
