** This video previously mentioned pros have six hours to make adjustments.
Pros now have 12 hours from the end of the shift!
We understand that the clock in/out times may not reflect your actual hours worked it is our goal to ensure you're paid for the time you have actually worked. You can now dispute your hours in the app! You have 12 hours from the end of the shift to submit a dispute.
Additionally, one of the most common disputes involves break hours (e.g., deductions for breaks not taken). This process ensures you are paid accurately for all hours worked.
To adjust your hours, follow these steps:
Open the Past Shifts Section:
Navigate to the "Shifts" or "Past Shifts" section of the app.
Select the Specific Shift:
Tap on the shift for which you want to adjust hours.
Tap on the Hours Adjustment Option:
Scroll to the bottom of the shift's details page and look for the "Request Hours Adjustment" or "Adjust Hours" feature.
Enter Corrected Hours:
Input the corrected clock-in and clock-out times, total hours worked, or specify changes.
Provide Supporting Evidence:
Optionally, attach proof such as a photo of your timesheet or a brief explanation for adjustments. For disputes over break deductions, specify the breaks that were incorrectly deducted and include proof, if available.
Submit the Request:
Confirm the changes by tapping "Submit" or "Request."

Disputes are sent to the Partner, who has 72 hours to review and either accept or reject the claim. If they fail to do either after that deadline, the adjustment will be made in your favor. As soon as a decision has been made, you'll receive an email.
Note: Approved adjustments and related compensations are processed in the normal weekly pay cycle, which usually occurs on Wednesdays.
In the future, you can make the adjustments to your clock-out time in the app prior to clocking out to ensure that the time worked is accurate.
To avoid discrepancies, double-check break confirmations during the clock-out process and ensure the app reflects your actual breaks taken.
If the dispute window has already closed, follow these steps to request a late hours adjustment:
Submit a Late Hours Adjustment Request:
Navigate to Past Shifts, select the shift, and request an adjustment.
Provide Accurate Information:
Clearly state the actual hours worked and reasons for submission beyond the dispute window.
Contact Instawork Support:
If your adjustment isn't accepted in-app, escalate the case to Instawork support with complete details.
