Applying for more positions to work with Instawork

Increase your earnings by applying to different positions that match your qualifications.

Our community is growing! You're gaining new skills and opportunities while Instawork is increasing our shifts and diverse Partners that need your help. 

Upon creating your profile, the following positions were automatically added, allowing you to start searching for shifts:

  • Event Setup and Takedown

  • General Labor

  • Warehouse Associate (Entry Level)

  • Counter Staff / Cashier

  • VIP Event Server

  • Guest Service Representative

  • Order Selector

If you'd like to update your profile and apply to more positions, follow these steps:

  1. In the app, click 'Profile'.

  2. In the 'My Positions' section, select 'Manage Positions'

  3. Scroll through the Apply to More Positions

  4. Select on the position you are interested in.

  5. Click on the Apply Now Button that is inside the blue box "Get Activated to book these shifts"

6. On the next screen, enter all the information required in the Minimum to Apply section, and to make your profile stand out, complete the additional fields at the bottom of the screen.

7. Once you have entered all the required fields, the boxes will turn green with a checkmark, and now you can click on the Apply for Position button.

What happens after I add a position? If required, you will be prompted to schedule a call with our AI Screener or a human coach call. This is where we review your work experience and finalize the application. Depending on the role, additional documentation or specific qualifications may also be requested during this stage to complete your application review.

After the coach call is complete you will be notified in the app in regards to the status of your application.You can also monitor your application's progress in the app to stay informed about the next steps.

Improving Your Eligibility

To enhance your chances of qualifying for more roles on Instawork, follow these guidelines:

  • Upload a Professional Profile Image: Maintain a clear and professional photo on your profile.

  • Complete Your Work Experience: Include at least 24 months of experience for roles like Event Server and Runner.

  • Add Certifications: Roles such as Security may require certifications. Ensure they are uploaded.

  • Provide References: Some roles require verified work references. Add them to your profile.

When can I expect to see more shifts? Shift availability depends on your market. You should expect to be notified in your app when there's a shift available to you.Additionally, roles such as Dishwasher, Barback, and others may currently be unavailable in specific locations, so it’s helpful to check back periodically for updates.

Navigating New Opportunities Instawork continues to expand job opportunities with roles like Delivery, Custodial/Janitorial/Cleaning, Merchandiser, Security, and Warehousing. Make sure to select your preferred roles in the app and ensure your profile includes relevant work experience and required certificates (e.g., driver's license or security-related credentials).
