Instawork Hiring trial shifts

Evaluate candidates before hiring

Updated over a week ago

What are trial shifts?

Trial shifts let you evaluate candidates in your actual work environment before making a hiring decision. These paid shifts give you hands-on insight into a candidate's skill, work style, and fit with your team.

How do trial shifts work?

  1. Request a trial shift directly through the Instawork dashboard when viewing a candidate

  2. Our team will help coordinate the shift with the candidate

  3. The candidate works a paid shift at your location so you can evaluate their performance in real working conditions

Benefits

Trial shifts let you evaluate candidates in real work situations before making a permanent hiring commitment. Potential hires can demonstrate their skills, interact with your team, and handle actual work responsibilities, all while reducing the risk and cost of mis-hires. Trial shifts help Partners make more confident hiring decisions with better long-term fits, as hiring managers can assess both technical skills and team fit in a real-world setting.
