Understanding Mosaic Shifts for Discover Card

Mosaic shifts for Discover Card are task-based shifts (link to the shift types article below) that involve setting up marketing materials at retail stores. You'll be assigned to work in a specific region and visit multiple store locations (sometimes more than 20 stores) to complete your tasks. You can work anytime during your shift window, and you'll move from store to store as needed.

How Mosaic Shifts Work

When you book a Mosaic shift for Discover Card, you'll:

- Need access to reliable transportation

- Receive marketing materials by mail to your address

- Visit assigned retail locations in your region

- Set up Discover Card marketing materials at each location

- Complete a survey after visiting each location

What Makes These Shifts Different

Mosaic shifts are different from traditional Instawork shifts:

- You will need your own, reliable transportation during the shift

- There is no point of contact at the stores if you encounter issues

- No timesheets are required to capture your time

- The work is self-guided based on the provided instructions

- You'll need to complete a survey that activates when you clock in

Before Your Shift

**Receiving Materials:**

- Marketing materials will be mailed directly to you

- Ensure your profile has your current mailing address

- During booking, you'll be asked to confirm your mailing address or provide an alternative

**Important Documents:**

- Review the training materials provided

- Keep the Authorization Letter from Discover with you during your shift

- Do not contact the number on the Discover letter if you have issues

During Your Shift

**At Each Location:**

- Follow the provided instructions to set up marketing materials

- Take photos as required for the survey

- Note: Terminal testing is no longer required at locations

**If You Cannot Complete a Task:**

You don't need to contact support if you're unable to complete a task for these reasons:

- The store is closed

- The store is no longer in business

- Store personnel do not allow you to complete the task

Instead, indicate the issue in the survey when prompted.

After Your Shift

**Completing the Survey:**

- The survey activates when you clock in

- Answer all questions thoroughly

- Upload any requested photos

- If you couldn't complete tasks at certain locations, provide the appropriate response in the survey
