What to do when your name is not on the shift list

If you arrive at your shift and your name is missing from the list:

Check these things first

1. Open your app and make sure you're at the right place and time

2. Look at the bottom of your shift details to find your Captain's contact info

3. Use "Find My Captain" in the app to locate them

4. Show the staff your shift confirmation in the app

Important

Stay at the location

  • Wait at least 1 hour at the location

  • Keep your location services turned on

  • Take photos to prove you were there

  • Get the names of people you speak with

  • Only leave if told to by a Captain or Instawork Support

Contact Support if needed

  • Message Support through the app

  • Clearly explain what happened

  • Include any photos or information you collected

How to get paid if you were sent home

1. Go to "Past Shifts" in the app

2. Select the shift

3. Tap "Request Hours Adjustment"

4. Enter your hours and submit

5. Do this within 12 hours
