We understand that unexpected things can happen, but arriving late or leaving a shift early can impact both your opportunities on the Instawork platform and the business where you’re working. When you book a shift, you agree to perform services for the full scheduled time.
How to ensure you arrive on time
Review the shift details so you know the location, start time, and dress code.
Plan ahead for weather, traffic, and personal arrangements.
Allow extra time for parking and walking to the check-in area (arrive 10–15 minutes early).
If you're running late
If you’re running late, contact your on-site contact, lead, or captain before the shift starts so they can plan accordingly. The on-site contact information is available on the shift details page.
Tardiness policies
Most Partners prefer that you send a message through the app if you’re running late. If you fail to contact the Partner or check in by the scheduled start time, the Partner may:
Mark you as a No Show
Decline to let you work the shift
Instawork’s 24-hour cancellation policy does not apply in this case, and you will not be eligible for pay at the scheduled shift rate.
