Understanding earnings from working shifts and payment schedule
This article explains when and how you'll receive earnings for shifts worked through the Instawork app and the timing of those payments , including both weekly payments and Instapay options. To ensure timely and accurate payments, Pros MUST work shifts booked through the Instawork app.
How are my totals calculated on the Earnings tab?
The Earnings totals you see are your gross (pre-tax) earnings on Instawork.
This includes your pre-tax earnings on:
Earnings from shifts
Earnings from Top Pro bonuses
Earnings from referrals
Earnings from other promotions & bonuses
The total displayed in the app WILL NOT REFLECT the amount of money that goes into your bank account because applicable taxes will be withheld during payment.
How do "Top Pros" earn more?
Our rewards program at Instawork is called Top Pro. We reward pros for being reliable (not canceling shifts) and performing well on the job.
If you become a Gold or Platinum pro you can earn up to 25% more on selected shifts.
Payment schedule
Weekly Payments
(Pay periods are from Mondays to Sundays)
For W-2 Shifts
Payment processing: Tuesday
Money in your bank: Wednesday by end of day.
Most banks will make your W-2 weekly deposit available by Wednesday end of day. Look for deposits from “Advantage Workforce Services”. Contact your bank if you do not see your deposit by Thursday.
For 1099 Shifts
Payment processing: Wednesday
Money in your bank: Friday
Most banks will make your W-2 weekly deposit available by Friday end of day. Look for deposits from “Garuda Labs”. Contact your bank if you do not see your deposit by Saturday.
Instapay
For W-2 Shifts
Debit card: Instawork deposits the instapay eligible portion of your pay within 1 hour after you have confirmed W-2 instapay after you've successfully clock out.
Checking account: Instawork processes the payment deposit to your bank within 1 hour of your instapay confirmation (after you've successfully clock out).
Note: The funds could take up to 72 hours for it to be available for withdrawal depending on your bank's deposit processing per federal regulations.
For 1099 Shifts
Debit card: Instawork deposits the instapay eligible portion of your pay within 1 hour after you have clocked out, no confirmation selection is necessary.
Checking account: Instawork processes the payment deposit to your bank within 1 hour of your instapay confirmation (after you've successfully clock out).
Note: The funds could take up to 72 hours for it to be available for withdrawal depending on your bank's deposit processing per federal regulations.
