Instawork offers a wide range of positions. Generally they are categorized as entry level or skilled positions. In order to be approved for a SKILLED shift positions, you need to ensure you have submitted a COMPLETED application for the position. Depending on the position you have applied for you will need to complete a coach call.
Below are the specifics on applying a skilled position:
Instawork offers a wide variety of positions that Professionals can book. These include both entry level positions (for example: a warehouse associate, a concession stand worker, general labor, etc.) and skilled positions (for example: prep cooks & line cooks, bartenders, event servers, etc.)
To work shifts in a skilled position, you will need to submit an application and obtain approval from the Instawork team before being able to book those shifts. You can submit the application directly through the Instawork app please see article below for detailed instructions:
What is the minimum that I have to provide for my application to be considered?
In order to be considered, you must complete each of the below items:
Add ALL relevant work experience to your Instawork profile.
Upload a professional profile photo that clearly shows your face without filters or glasses.
Provide necessary personal information, like your date of birth and address.
Schedule a coach call after application is completed.
How do I submit the best possible application?
When you provide as much information as possible, the more we get to know who you are as a Professional, and the better it is for the approval process. To give yourself the best chance of getting approved, we recommend completing as many of these actions as possible:
Make sure your profile has a detailed work history going back at least a few years, including all experience that's relevant to the role you're applying to.
Get references from previous managers and/or coworkers.
Upload ALL necessary certificates, such as TIPS or Food Handlers.
Upload photos of yourself wearing the necessary attire for the position.
Pass all relevant quizzes.
Make sure you have a professional profile photo.
How long will it take for my position application to be approved?
After you have scheduled and completed a coach call it can take up to 48 for the application status to be updated.
My application still hasn't been reviewed. What's up?
If your application is incomplete, it may show as "pending" or "in review" status in the app. To ensure your application is reviewed in a timely manner, please always make sure you meet at least the minimum requirements shown above, if not more.
My application says "corrections needed." What does that mean?
Unfortunately, we don't approve every position application. However, you do have the opportunity to reapply after a short period. Make sure that you've submitted the most complete application possible.
