Communities and Groups

We’re making it easier for Pros to connect with each other outside of shifts. Introducing Instawork Communities, a place where Pros can help one another learn and share helpful information to make you successful on the Instawork platform. It’s easy to discover communities, and create groups to talk about all things Instawork.

What are Communities?

Communities are public, interest based groups. You can find them by clicking the ‘Discover’ tab in your messages.

What are Groups?

Groups are private chats meant for friends in your existing network.

How to Create a Community

  1. Go to your message tab

  2. At the top right corner, click the pencil and paper icon.

  3. Select ‘Start new community’

  4. Fill out the required fields

  5. Click ‘Create community’

Public vs. Private Communities

Communities are discoverable and anyone can join. Groups are private and invite only for people within your existing connections.

How to Invite People to Communities

  1. Click on the info button at the top right corner of your community

  2. Click 'Invite Pros' next to the members list

How to Remove Messages and Members from your Communities

Remove or Block a Member

  1. Click on the info button at the top right corner of your community

  2. Scroll and find the member you'd like to remove

  3. Click on their name

  4. Select 'Remove from community' or 'Block from community'

Remove Messages

  1. Press and hold the message you'd like to remove

  2. Select 'Delete'
